Henderson Beach State Park

Imagine strolling down a pristine sugar-white sand beach with more than 6,000 feet of natural scenic shoreline bordering the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Just east of the heart of Destin you can escape it all. No hotels or condos back up to the beach. Just you and the natural beauty of the Emerald Coast.


Sixty campsites are available with water and electric hookups and access to air conditioned and heated bathhouse facilities. A separate beach access boardwalk is provided and is A.D.A accessible.

Admission Fees

$6 per vehicle. Max. 8 people per vehicle. $4 Single Occupant Vehicle. $2 Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.


Enjoy a .75-mile nature trail that winds around the beautiful sand dunes of the park. Expect to see several native trees and a variety of birds such as towhees, mockingbirds, snowy plovers, piping plovers and least terns.


Dogs are allowed in the park, in the campground and on the nature trail. However, they must be kept on a leash and they are not allowed on the beach or the playground. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the beach.
