Henderson Beach State Park was established for many reasons. Not only is it a great place for weddings, family reunions, and large events, it provides protection of the area’s natural features, and the last remaining coastal scrub area in Destin.

Henderson Beach State Park is ADA. Accessible amenities include beach wheelchairs, picnic pavilions, grills, and campsites.


Admission Fees

$6 per vehicle. Max. 8 people per vehicle. $4 Single Occupant Vehicle. $2 Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.

Camping

Sixty campsites are available with water and electric hookups and access to air conditioned and heated bathhouse facilities. A separate beach access boardwalk is provided and is A.D.A accessible.

Hiking

Enjoy a .75-mile nature trail that winds around the beautiful sand dunes of the park. Expect to see several native trees and a variety of birds such as towhees, mockingbirds, snowy plovers, piping plovers and least terns.

Rules

Dogs are allowed in the park, in the campground and on the nature trail. However, they must be kept on a leash and they are not allowed on the beach or the playground. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the beach.
