Destin Seafood Festival

a Family-Friendly Annual Event.

Just as the summer tapers off, Destin’s Seafood Festival begins to heat up with three days of fun, live music, arts and crafts, and of course, mouthwatering, Gulf-fresh seafood. This family-friendly event is free to attend and attracts over 70,000 food lovers to ‘The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village.’

There are over 15 restaurants that regularly participate in this delicious event. Although the event is all about the seafood, for those who find they prefer something not found in the water, they can get a slice of pizza or other landlubbers favorites throughout the day!

Music stages provide an abundance of entertainment starting at 4 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. You will be delighted by top performers featuring, Rock, Reggae, Country and Tropical music along the Harbor for your enjoyment.

While the Destin Seafood Festival is free and open to the public, the VIP section offers patrons exclusive access to a private seating area that overlooks the Destin City Stage, complimentary and unlimited food and refreshments, a festival T-shirt, and festival poster.

Activities for Kids:

Kids can enjoy a petting zoo, rock climbing wall, and zip line for the kids. On Sunday, the annual stinky “fish throwing contest” is for kids up to 12 years old. Also called the Mingo Toss, the contest takes place on top of the hill at Royal Melvin Heritage Park.

Parking:

Parking can be tricky during the Destin Seafood Festival, but there is a shuttle that offers service to patrons who park offsite. While some lots offer free parking, others charge a fee for the day. It’s best to walk, bike, or take the shuttle if possible.

Festival entrances can be found at the east and west sides of the event; check the official site for a festival map and more information.
